Thats another way of saying securities fraud

I'm thinking the preferred holders who wanted to dump, warned Ed, who came up with some sort of PR to somewhat offset the buying of the dumped shares.

And they released the PR either the day before or that morning to the newswires which have a delay and so it wasn't showing as the dump was happening but right after at 1PM.

only problem with that is that the news came out about 2 hours after the dump...
