I would guess it is because the large safety trials are gating for approval, and if successful running efficacy trials and getting sNDAs approved would be fast and easy, so more cost conscience to do it sequentially

on the earnings call march 26 the company was talking about a DSMB review that had taken place recently - so i assume the april meeting was the face to face, and the quarterly data review happens some time prior - correct me if i am wrong (so this would put the next data review end of the month and meeting w company in october since this is every 6 months or so per the company
I should have said before that I wasn't sure if they were referencing the face-to-face meeting or the quarterly meeting at Goldman and you make a good point. If they did indeed reference in the prior call on 3/26 that they recently met with DSMB then you're probably right that 4/26 meeting was the face-to-face. So, that would presumably put the next scheduled quarterly DSMB meeting some time later this month.
