I would not expect to see much in the way of Opteron overclocking options. It is a server chip, and not only would AMD be foolish to offer overclocking options like unlocked multipliers, there would be very few people interested in doing so. How many overclocked Itaniums or Xeons are there out there?
A64 will certainly be an overclocking target, and it will be interesting to see how easy AMD makes it. With the integral heat spreader, there will no longer be access to the package bridges that tinkerers could once play around with. I am very curiouls if multipliers will be factory locked or not. They currently are not unlocked on Tbred and Barton, though they were initially.
