Ok, so i couldn't keep my mouth shut on this new development...
This release just goes to show how polarized this crowd is. Those who seek positives will find them, and vice-versa.
But the negatives mentioned are just laughable. Let's start with additional authorized shares. Anyone noticed that we previously had 500m authorized? Does that mean that we were close to launching them and dilute our ownership? Not even close. Now that we have a larger combined entity with significant profits, there is no indication that they will do so either. As a matter of fact, the likelihood just dropped.
The mere fact that there is some existing long-term debt shows that we have ample access to debt markets. Any management worth its salt will issue debt before equity.
The fact that people use boiler plate language in the 14c to feed angst of dilution makes me want to scream.
My other take is on the comment on reverse split. I read the comment myself and had to double take. But my conclusion is that they are referring to the issuance of the 357m new shares. The net effect of doing so amounts to the same as doing a reverse split of existing owners as far as the % ownership in the new entity is concerned.
That's only my take, but for what it is worth
