thanks for the post CJ! some new info in there, including:

IASLC Faculty & Staff Disclosures: Heather A. Wakelee, MD - Grant/Research Support: Genentech/Roche, Lilly, Pfizer, Novartis, Exelixis, Xcovery, AstraZeneca, Clovis, Regeneron; Consultant: Peregrine.

I noticed Heather previously worked with David Carbone on the 2nd publication down on her publications listed below.

https://med.stanford.edu/profiles/heather-wakelee?tab=publications

------------------------

Immunology 101: 8/20/2013 - Heather Wakelee (currently now associated as a Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Consultant)
Now, at the 5:45 mark, Heather begins to talk about "Immunology 101" and at one point she makes a remark "When the CTLA signal is active or "on" it => "turns off" the T-Cell response and the immune system stops working well"

Interesting at 14:35 mark => "Combination trials will be coming" as she is talking about Yervoy and we now know that Bavi+Yervoy was initiated in melanoma

Overall a good video for anyone looking for more info re: lung cancer and I like the 22:00 mark when the mod states "Its amazing...I wish that some of you could go to some of these meetings we go to and when you listen to some of the things in discovery right now..there really is a lot of hope out there, finally.. for this cancer. All good things happening.."

https://vimeo.com/75499710

---------------------------------------

I say that its all leading to Peregrine Pharmaceuticals being part of the solution and "there really is a lot of hope out there" and PS Targeting being part of all the many combo trials ? I say yes and now I can say Sloan Kettering thinks so as well.

Sep6-9: IASLC’s 16th World Conf. on Lung Cancer”, Denver wclc2015.iaslc.org
…Peregrine Exhibiting, Booth #1724 (KOL/SAB Dr. David Carbone will be Pres. of IASLC eff. 9-2015)

William D. Travis sits on the BOD at IASLC (2013-2016) so I would say soon to be President at IASLC David Carbone has had many a words with Dr. Travis from Sloan Kettering before Peregrines and MSK's collaboration. Who knows, lots of money and trials are served directly out of IASLC and MSK just may benefit big time from this collaboration.
