sal his DD is incredibly extensive. He just sent an email last week explaining his background, I've copied and pasted it here for you:
Dear All,
I have received numerous of emails asking when my next pick will come out, so I thought I'd take a minute to send a quick update to everyone. First of all, welcome to those of you who are new to this email list. Some of you may not know who I am and why I stand behind these stock picks that I send out, so I'll summarize.
In the the last three years, myself (a Ph.D), and a few close friends with finance and law degrees, have had mutual investments that we believed were great companies but never obtained their full potential. Out of frustration, we spent the better part of a year researching and analyzing companies that had greatly outperformed the market, specifically in the biotech sector, to determine why these stocks outperformed when they didn't appear to possess the scientific potential of our investments. After literally hundreds of hours, scouring thousands of SEC forms, we discovered some striking similarities amongst these outperforming stocks. The common assumption is that science will drive shareholder growth, however; that is often not the key factor. In biotech, we are dealing with non-revenue generating companies that are dependent upon shareholders or large institutions to generate money for operating/research expenses. Companies have many avenues through which to generate this money, but there are very few that will likely result in exponential shareholder growth. Our research has given us tremendous insight into the factors that lay the foundation for these inflection points that we have seen in AVXL, PTBI, TPIV, and it appears TNXP very soon. Let me summarize some of my recent picks.
AVXL - posted DD on 3/25/15 when the stock closed at 0.21. It hit a recent high of 0.47 on 4/21/15, for a 124% gain in less than a month. Profits were taken in excess of 75% and I still retain a core position.
PTBI - posted DD on 4/21/15 when the stock closed at $3.17. It hit a recent high of $11.16 on 5/6/15 for a 252% gain in two weeks. Still questioning the application of our research, I got cold feet and sold early. That was my mistake, but many were able to make a lot of money in a very short amount of time.
TPIV - posted DD on 5/11/15 when the stock opened at 0.22, but due to the large buying from many of you closed that day at 0.31. Today less than a month later, it reached a high 0.61, 97% higher than the closing price on the day I recommended it. Many of you were able to get into TPIV in the 0.28 range, as it consolidated there for a good 4-5 days after my recommendation, and thus those of you who did could have exited at 100% return today. Profits were taken in excess of 75% and I still retain a core position.
TNXP - posted DD a week ago yesterday on 5/26/15 when the stock opened at $6.60 and closed at $6.95. The stock closed today at $7.33, only 5% above the closing price the day I recommended it. I believe this stock is getting very close to breaking out. You can find my DD posted on ihub below and as you can see there are some catalysts coming up very soon:
Other than my failure to properly trade PTBI, I have obtained over 75% returns on AVXL and TPIV.
Naturally, these results have produced a much larger following on the internet than I ever anticipated and this is not why I set out to do this. However, it's important to note that these picks I recommend are the furthest thing from "pump and dumps." Some naysayers on various message boards like to accuse me of selling these plays into the buying pressure on the day I recommend them, but clearly, I'd be leaving too much money on the table if that were my strategy. The companies I recommend are in my opinion, phenomenal companies with rock solid fundamentals that are at inflection points. I believe they will provide for exceptional long term holds as well as provide excellent short term returns along the way. I have continually stated that you should each set your own targets and don't be afraid to take profits based upon your own goals. It's important to note that I am not buying these stocks looking for 20% returns to sell into a pop once they are recommended; these are companies that I believe are grossly undervalued and have potential for exceptional returns. I acknowledge that the recent return rate has been significant and it is not likely sustainable, but these are anything from simple pump and dumps. When everything is taken into account, over 24 man hours of research has gone into each pick.
In regards to the next pick, I am currently reviewing the DD on a few, but given the variables that absolutely must be met for me to recommend a play, it's not as simple as throwing a new stock out every week. My goal is to deliver roughly one play per month, but depending on the timing of inflection points of those companies that fit my criteria, the timing will vary. For now I'm very focused on TNXP, as it is not anywhere near a price I would consider selling at and I think it will be going much higher in the near future.
Also, please note that you can now follow me on both twitter and stocktwits under the name jbem777. I will release the next pick, when the DD is complete, via email, twitter, stocktwits, and various message boards.
Lastly, please note that I receive absolutely no compensation for any stock picks I make and it is not to be considered as investing advice. Rather it's extensive DD that I have completed and you should make any investment decisions at your own risk and follow up my DD with DD of your own. Good luck to you all!
