Joe, you are of course correct. The die will go through multiple steppings before the Athlon 64 launches. Based on the current leaked roadmaps, AMD is being more conservative on the clock frequencies (such as 2.2GHz max by end of this year, and 2.4GHz not until 90nm in Q2 2004), and I think that's more realistic.
