If it did and HALO/ABBV are successful in getting this approved, how many additional years of patent protection would this improved version of Humira have?

A patent on a formulation of Humira with rHuPH20 would protect that specific product for up to 20 years, but it wouldn’t stop FoBs for regular Humira. Still, a formulation of Humira with, say, double the duration would be a powerful way to respond to Humira FoBs.

Would you be a buyer of ABBV or HALO on this news?

No (at least not yet), because the above is just speculation on my part.

p.s. ABBV itself is working on a reformulation of Humira, according to recent webcasts.
