Of course I always upgrade my computer myself, and with AMD you can go quite cheaper than the price you've mentioned.

Actually a 2.4c is very competive with amd's best, the best
amd system you could put together would only save me 150-200
U.S. dollars max.

Actually I forgot to say that those expensive 3-4k P4 systems are coming with monitor, and monitor may be over 1k by itself.

With a great 20" monitor Apple G5 is going up to $4300 immediately.

I spent some time trying to find a consumer-oriented dual-P4 PC, but failed. Please don't say I build it myself - I'm talking about something mainstream.
