I was just discussing Kelly's comments with a coworker, who is very much a techie, and he truly believes the company will be profitable. His main concern is that this technology is leaving the back door to the NSA. He claims that once you create this interface between your hardware and software, you basically have a point where you can inject, modify, or remove any signal. We know that there are already chips that exist for this purpose. There are known vulnerabilities in enterprise-class server hardware, made by major manufacturers (google dell jtag backdoor).
Using a debugging interface, which is basically the same as the chip they describe, they can modify the machine as it runs. Thought???
