drjohn, this is not true. If you go to the heavy-duty gaming machine, like this one:

the price tag for a good single-P4 computer is between $2500-$4500, which is in average more expensive than dual-G5 Apple, which I expect to be in the $2700 area. I think if single-P4 is over $3000, you should not expect dual-Xeon to go below $5000. You definitely get much more bang for the buck with Apple, the dual-A64 will be same story.
