A comment on short selling.
Stocks are short sold because the seller believes the price will fall.
It is not because of some vendetta against the company, as some from the top down in the company seem to think. There seems to be a persecution complex which is used to explain the dramatic loss that shareholders have experienced.
Quite apart from that, it is quite legal.
The reason the stock plummeted to 2 cents recently was because of the normal ups and downs, when it was considered the company was worthless.
If it is thought that any short selling was for illegitimate reasons, then the company should have the SEC look at the situation.
