Your reply is unduly black and white. In the quoted passage from my 2014 post (#msg-113276324), I used the qualifying word, particularly, which you seem to have ignored. I.e., I never said (and I’m not saying now) that uncertainty about GILD’s HIV franchise is the sole reason for GILD’s low P/E ratio.

It’s worth noting, BTW, that GILD acknowledged on the 1Q15 CC that it recently lost significant market share to GSK in first-line HIV. I think this is the first time in GILD’s history that it has ever lost share to anybody in HIV.
