and the tax burden has shifted so thoroughly that the gov now extracts billions per year from kids with student loans in yet another hidden tax, which has also raised the cost of an education dramatically and in ways that have nothing to do with teaching or learning. The only politician that seems to be fighting that trend is Liz Warren,, not sure where Bernie is on that issue.
