Hi Andy-- "When we were in a firm uptrend I was trading many times a day."

opposite of what I do-- I tend to live and breath the ADX indicator ... anything above 25 I tend to trade around moving averages which has me buying and holding, anything below 25, I start using occilators/candlesticks which has me trading like crazy.

...and about BGO being cheap-- it's in Russia, a high risk area of the world ... and I don't believe for one second that Putin and his goverment have any respect for private property rights-- I've seen to many companies lose their businesses there (and PAAS was one of them) ... I like Mexico much better.

...one other thing, check out Puplava's weekly webcast-- there's a hedgefund manager by the name of Frank Barbera that comments on the markets. Fwiw, I couldn't agree more with the comments he made on the mining sector in last week's program.

Check out the first hour of May 20

Anyway, nice talking with you...!

>>>Not so sure about PAAS. The chart isn't as clear to me and also don't like the exposure to Mexico because as I said I want to pick the very 'best' in this beaten down sector. Hecla and SSRI look very good here IMO. HL very oversold on the chart in % terms, really like geopolitical location of mines. SSRI appears to be cheapest based upon reserves and also fairly safe geographically.

As for the golds BGO looks like a steal here but it and GG seem rather weak here relative to others such as GLG. So small purchases in BGO but larger in QEE, CLG (Cumberland).
Also like CBJ but waiting for a little more confirmation on chart.

Hi Andy,
Let me see if I've got this straight....

You don't like PAAS (I don't either, but for entirely different reasons) because they are in Mexico, but then you say you really like the "geopolitical location of Hecla's mines."

May I ask if you are aware that HL has an operation in Mexico (San Sebastian) and two operations in Venezuela (La Camorra and Mina Isadora), a country who's leader isn't a big fan of most things American and who is currently investigating HL for some supposed tax irregularities?

Bema's (BGO) hoped for flagship operation (Kupol) just happens to be in Russia which, imo, could be characterized as somewhat riskier than Mexico, one of 'our' major trading partners.

Fwiw, I trust Putin less than Chavez, but that's neither here nor there.

QEE is in Nevada, which is good, but has some of the highest production costs in all of goldom, which is bad.

Do you happen to know if Cambior has covered any portion of their relatively burdensome hedge book?

>>>I like silver more than gold at this point and have been investing accordingly.<<<

Would you care to share some of those silver names with us?

I'd suggest you look into ECU Silver (ECU.V/ECUXF), but their "looking like WTZ lite" polymetallic resource is in Mexico too. #msg-11301210

In any event, Andy, I wish you the best of luck with your choices.

Enjoy the Weekend.
