"Raytheon is buying the cybersecurity company Websense from the private equity firm Vista Equity Partners in a deal valued at $1.9 billion, a move aimed at making defense-grade cyberprotection available to businesses. Raytheon, which is best known for its military defense systems, will invest just under $1.6 billion to gain majority ownership, and ultimately contribute $1.9 billion to the combined venture. Vista Partners will invest about $335 million for a minority stake. The company will be part of Raytheon and led by John R. McCormack, the chief of Websense. 'The market for advanced cybersolutions that protect and defend global industry and infrastructure is rapidly growing due to the sophisticated threats posed by well-funded nation-state adversaries and criminal networks,' Raytheon’s chairman and chief, Thomas A. Kennedy, said in a statement."
I guess they probably decided to pass on investing in Chalk's solutions; and, WOLV could have helped Websense go public in a reverse-merger, so did they make an offer to WOLV?.... too bad, major loss of opportunity.. LOL
