it is like a false advertising claim--if someone claims a product can do something --you buy it based on the claim--if it does not do as advertised then it is fraud--he advertised a stock buy back that never took place and he lied about huge revenue growth--its so simple to understand
it's not childish to blame someone for misleading you. if you do something based on someones word and then turns out they lied--of course you can blame them--people who do wrong get blamed--
