I would agree with that. I enjoyed his arrangements but wasn't crazy about his songs or songwriting(outside of the arrangements). His voice wasn't bad but never wowed me.
Also, speaking of gone voices. Paul McCartney can't sing anymore either. It is depressing because I used to like his voice
