I'm not in the tablet market..but if I was...and Microsoft had a $300 "Windows lite" tablet that offered full MS Office and synced well with my Windows pc.. I would definitely choose that over Android.
the fact that 99.9% of the tablets sold do not support Windows legacy apps should tell you something about where that feature ranks on peoples check-lists when buying a tablet.
I do a lot of reading on tablets and watch videos as well. Those seem like pretty common applications for tablets. Add a KVM to an x86 tablet, though, and you have a low-powered PC that you may be able to do real work on.
