Culmus, do you get the data for the equity only p/c ratio from cboe and graph it yourself? Stockcharts only graphs the total p/c ratio. Vtoreports charts the 21dma of the equity only ratio, but where do you get the 7dma? Thanks.
Culmus, I'd be more interested in equity put/call MA data from 1997-March 2000, as I believe that's more applicable here than bear market stuff from March 2000-October 2002.
Lots of folks are using stuff that worked well in the bear market and are finding out it's not working as well as it used to. That's why it's important to distinguish between how certain indicators work in bear and bull markets, IMO.
i am trying to find a 7ema relative to your specific data equivalent to match with those using stock charts data, That 7ema was signaling tops betweem 0.65ema and 0.63ema the past two years as best i can decipher, it is now per SC at 0.69ema. I wish i could get rid of the CPC line so i could just look at MAs. I generally have to zoom in to see the lines clearly through the squiggles. I gather CULMUS you high grade data feed and excellent chart making software---i envy you:) Godfrey/Max
