It may go down on Monday, but no big deal. The Grand Opening is probably a few weeks away. Sure, there are some people who expect things to happen the next day but that is just not how business works.
I try to visit Famous Eddie's every week just to see how things are going and because I like the wings. I usually see JB there and he sometimes invites me in to try one of his new recipes. He works there from opening to close and I found him looking a little tired today. He explained the reason he is there is to perfect the food and processes and get the people properly trained. Of course, it also saves on labor cost.
He has improved the wings recipe tremendously. The wings today were crispier and spicier than my last visit and I tell you, they were extremely tasty. He gave me a free sample of his smothered chicken and rice recipe. He said they are now selling as much of this dish as the wings.
The last Receipt count from 4 weeks ago was 1200. Today's count was 2076 (I'll post link later). That's almost 900 cars in 4 weeks. JB said he got such a big response from the coupons that he had to stop giving them out. Business seems to be really picking up. Today, there was a car in front of me and three more cars came right after me. This is quiet a departure from my other visits. The car behind had pre-ordered 40 wings. That's a pretty big ticket item.
I can't tell you whether FE will make it since there are so many variables that can fail a business. But I can tell you that you that we have a very experienced and determined man at the helm. He is working hard at marketing this place through social media and other outlets and you can bet that the Grand Opening will be tied to some coordinated marketing campaign.
Good luck to all longs.
