I was mostly wondering that with these generally old and sick patients on amiodarone whether docs might figure its not worth treating the HCV at all.

Not clear to me that Viekera will play well with amiodarone either because of the CYP3A4 issue. You can't simply decrease amiodarone dosage to counteract any effect because it has a more than two-month half-life.
