Many believed that a New CEO with industry knowledge contacts could be the answer to bring some real direction and turn the company into a respeccted entity. That inclided me ! As we all know the F4 blowup along with our Eula B.S. Brought revenue to a stand still. This all happened the early part of Novemeber of 2005, just while KC was to take over.
Whether KC was familiar or aware with Granites intentions to not finish funding or its ulterior motives, I do not know.
What is known is that KC make sincere effort to resolve the Eula blowup by attempting to work with consumer groups to resolve and issues without further alienation.
Running a comany covers many different apects and may be overwhelming. The pressure of not the getting the balance of the funding, plus facing all the uncertainties, along with never having run a public company may be just too much for KC. The travel fron NYC to Phoenix might be playing a role is also possiible.
Events like the above can put an awful strain on an individual and if he was married with a family, it would only add not detract from his rersponsebility . Not to mention that KC may not be a good communicator or could not establish a good report with split times between NYC and Phoenix.
