Sorry, that's not my benchmark for acceptability. It's a given that any next-generation piece of computing equipment should hands-down trump the older model it replaces -- particularly if you're talking about 2 year old technology, fer cryin' out loud.
The benchmark should be relative to current standards in the industry and where what is being offered falls in the range of currently available technology options.
