It's a lame explanation saying that some drug-discovery guy will jump ship because of a hostile take-over. He'd be more likely to leave because of Abbvie's ownership, not whether it's friendly or hostile.
I have no idea what the agreements are but because there were many VC's in this deal they like money more than anything else.
