In reading his site I just remember he advises to "ignore the wicks and tails" to restrict noise.
Burge is mainly a PnF guy and goes by S/R. I like to review his stats daily because he normally posts early in the day the number of stocks moving to buys versus sells in PnF charts...this statistical "snapshot" I find helpful.
