Peregrine legal would probably hold any type of connections like that back until trial? ...I would think they must have more info to support a "constructive fraud" verdict ....
Lots of success moving forward with Sunrise and the anti-PS Platform, especially with many centers opening since the beginning of Sunrise Phase III NSCLC
....but I'm sure many wonder why no clinical trials are open in NY and is it possible it has anything to do with another Fink connection and deep pocket connections to NY hospital networks ?
For example: Lori Fink chair of Cancer Institute Advisory Board and would there be much political sway with her spouse Laurence Fink in the background and also on boards/medical related in NY areas...? I'll say one thing, when a Fink is Chairman of NYU Langone’s Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center and brings in much monies in many areas and then many Docs associated with BMS and all are deeply rooted in other therapies, (certainly not PS Targeting that was developed by outsiders Peregrine Pharmaceuticals) then anything is possible and early stage clinical trial(s) Sabotaged back at CSM in Fargo? ....sounds like a very real possibility to me.

2012 NYU Cancer Institute Gala Raises $1.5 Million for Patient Care, Research, Education, and Prevention
More Than 400 Guests Attend Event to Honor James L. Speyer, MD, Professor of Medicine, Medical Director of the Clinical Cancer Center, and Associate Director of Clinical Hospital Operations at NYU Cancer Institute
NYU Cancer Institute at NYU Langone Medical Center, an NCI-designated cancer center, raised $1.5 million at its annual gala held last evening. The event took place at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan and honored James L. Speyer, MD, professor of medicine, medical director of the Clinical Cancer Center, and associate director of Clinical Hospital Operations at NYU Cancer Institute.
Each year, the NYU Cancer Institute Gala is held to celebrate the dedication of its physicians, scientists, nurses and other medical staff. Funds raised support the Cancer Institute’s remarkable progress through excellence in patient care, research, education, and prevention, under the leadership of its director William Carroll, MD, the Julie and Edward J. Minskoff Professor of Pediatrics.
After welcoming and expressing his gratitude to the gala’s more than 400 guests, Robert I. Grossman, MD, the Saul J. Farber Dean and CEO of NYU Langone Medical Center, acknowledged this year’s honoree, Dr. Speyer, by saying, “Under Jim’s direction, the Clinical Cancer Center has continually raised the bar in outpatient oncology services since its opening in 2004. Jim is a model clinician and a consummate leader, someone who epitomizes our goal of providing compassionate care designed for the individual patient.”
Those in attendance included: Saba Bologna and Dr. William Carroll. Elisabeth Cohen, MD, Lori and Larry Fink, Trudy and Robert Gottesman, Sylvia Hassenfeld, Elaine and Ken Langone, Maya and Ed Manley, Laura and Isaac Perlmutter, Tracy and Stanley Shopkorn, Norma and Gordon Smith, Robin Smith, MD, PhD, Debora and Jes Staley, Alice and Tom Tisch, Billie Tisch, Cynthia and Jan van Eck, and Marica Vilcek and Jan Vilcek, MD, PhD.
Lori Fink, chair of the NYU Cancer Institute Advisory Board, and a trustee of NYU Langone Medical Center since 2003, also greeted the audience and said, “Patient-centered care has always been our driving force. And you might say that for decades, tonight's honoree, the incomparable Dr. Jim Speyer, has been our ‘torch bearer.’ Throughout Jim's impressive tenure with the Cancer Institute, he has reminded us to listen always to what the individuals and families we serve actually need... [Jim] you and so many you work with know that it all begins with the patient. While each patient is unique, we all share the need for compassion, support, respect and love. At the Cancer Institute, we meet those needs and add talent, expertise, and the best resources. It's a simple formula; it's a formula for excellence.” In addition, Fink thanked the NYU Cancer Advisory Board members in attendance for making this year’s gala a success.
The guest speaker was Dr. Speyer’s patient Jaana Sareva. At the age of 36 Sareva was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer that metastasized to her brain and liver, for which she was treated comprehensively. Under Dr. Speyer’s care, she has not had a recurrence for 10 years. Sareva, originally from Finland, is now 48 years-old and a mother of two grown daughters.
NYU Langone is undergoing the largest transformation in its history, adding some 2.1 million square feet to its footprint—currently the second largest redevelopment project in New York City, following the World Trade Center. Expansion is a necessary step for the Clinical Cancer Center, where they serve an increasing number of patients each year.
This December, NYU Langone’s new Ambulatory Care Center will dedicate two floors to oncology, increasing its space for clinical visits and exams and adding 26 new infusion chairs for a wide array of outpatient cancer services. These services will supplement the existing outpatient services available at the Clinical Cancer Center, the clinical arm of the Cancer Institute.
“Through our state-of-the-art facilities, and with many more opening up across campus, NYU Langone is giving patients the best healthcare where and when they want it,” Dean Grossman added.
