they have always moved the same. I watch both, most dont follow both trends, both will not continue past resistance if one breaks through and the other has not, at least every time I watch. its a way to know if they continue up or not. If there is a gap in price the same applies. It has been growing lately, so you might see FNMA top before FMCC, IMO.
