We need to fine tune that MVTG fuel cell costs list a little I think. My independent data shows that all conventional PEM membrane fuel cells like the ones PLUG and Ballard BLDP use cost more for the PEM membrane alone, from DuPont, than an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine), thus one of the reasons that Detroit never could switch from ICE engines to Ballard fuel cells the last 25 years, and the Platinum catalyst used also costs more than an ICE engine, so with no membrane in the MVTG fuel cell, and no platinum catalysts (they are using iron and nickle....), and then they eliminated the complex, high machining tolerance and cost sealing plates, the bi-polar plates (the third major cost of their hardware for the fuel cells), we come up with a solid 80% cost reduction in the MVTG fuel cells.

And the MVTG fuel cell does need or use hydrogen directly, and does not need reformers (more cost and complexity) to convert liquid fuels into H2 gas first. The MVTG fuel cell runs directly on non flammable liquid fuels like Formates, formic acid and sodium borohydride.

Lastly, the CO2 can be recycled with the MVTG ERC reactors. All of the above have recently been issued patents in 6 countries, and 5 more new international world wide patents were recently applied for, and a number are still pending world wide for the original 2.
