no not a typo i just don't think i explained myself well. of the 3M or so HCV patients in the US a significant percentage (ballpark 50 percent) don't knwo their HCV status. everyone who knows their HIV status - and certainly if they are getting treatment like in the ryan white program - knows their HCV status because testing for HCV is requisite in HIV positive patients. so the pickup rate is about double the background population - and so the pool for immediate treatment of HCV among HIV positive patients is higher i've still probably confused you
