We don't. That's the charm. Thomas Jefferson said something about how we all like a cad better than a paragon of rectitude. (I used to have a book of Jefferson's letters, which was a favorite of mine. It was ruined in a flood; one of the few losses I rued.)
I don't recall seeing "Catch Me If You Can". I thought that was a woman's motto. I didn't know they'd made a movie out of it.
