Croesus,....I think I'd be ok to trade those, but my other problem with short term trading is that I'm prohibited from day trading in my IRA portfolio. so I could get away with maybe once or twice but cant do it regularly. I'd have to basically stay in any trade for at least 4 or 5 days. and it looks like there are many times when you need to exit on the second day, or third at most.
Unless my account is flush with cash, I have to track when each stock sale for settlement date. Even though my portfolio says I have the money to invest, it cannot be with funds that have not settled. Usually 3 days?
Not sure about TDAmeritrade, but the Fidelity website will not keep track of this for me, but will, of course, offer to me the settlement date. So I have to keep track with pencil and paper.
