GrooveMaster: Re: Spoke happens to be a perfect example right now for unconsious incompetent.
OK. If it is your intention to take off the gloves, then I am fine with that.
I tend to be pretty good at knowing what I know and knowing what I don't know. Can you say the same thing? Let's just see, shall we?
Mastered in the new High Definition format, Step Into Liquid...
First, let's clear the air a bit. I never claimed that SIL was not filmed in high definition format. I did say that I had not seen where that was explicitly stated, but you have now provided a source. Now, we can all agree that it was filmed in hi-def format. We all suspected that anyway, and I never made any claim to the contrary. You do know that right? I have to assume that you don't, since you seemed to be providing evidence to refute a claim that I never made. Hmmmm. Unconscious Incompetent? Perhaps.
But, let's go back to my original response to you. The one where I clearly pointed out what you didn't know that you didn't know. You made the unambiguous statement: The company we have invested in had the foresight to come out with one of the first High Def DVD's Period.
Just to be perfectly clear, unless you are reffering to MicroSoft as the company we have invested in, your statement is incorrect. Can you see that now? That was my point. We can all speculate about whether NVEI *will* come out with a hi-def DVD, but to date, they have not, nor have they announced their intention to do so, your purported conversations with Ray notwithstanding.
You also made the claim that: 2 million households that have a High Def set already. That is 2 million in guaranteed DVD sales right there.
I hope you understand now that any sales of the MicroSoft DVD will not affect NVEI in the least, other than providing exposure for the film, as Ray alluded to. From the context of your statement, though, it was clear that you meant that the "2 million in guaranteed sales" would be revenue for NVEI. It will not.
Those were my points. I regret that you misunderstood my meaning. Have I made myself clear now?
One other note. Calling someone incompetent is an insult, regardless of whether you qualify it with euphemistic modifiers like "unconscious". I find it particularly ironic that in your haste to point out what you *thought* I didn't know, you clearly demonstrated your own "unconscious incompetence".
