My thoughts are completely thrown out of the window after reading your post. I haven't looked into Dockers' recent technology gains in a couple months, but my knowledge of Docker was that it did NOT work on a windows platform. It was strictly Linux based. If MSFT is working with Docker now, it opens up avenues that were previously impossible.
Even if, we would still have a huge competitive advantage as GW can do what Docker does while also enabling self virtualization. Docker was the first and has gained a lot of notoriety, but my money is on GW as it does what Docker does, AND SO MUCH MORE.
I will say, your post has piqued my interest and I will definitely spend some time on what is going on these days with Docker.
