LG: as for multiple time frames, i have now tried this approach, and must say i am impressed with the results. essentially, i scan for stocks that have daily and weekly slow stochastics oversold (below 80), at the same time. the list i get, has been pretty reliable in terms of establishing a near term bottom. the only thing i have not tested is, what happens when the market is not trending up like it has been since late march. i should be back testing, using late december to early march time frame. will keep you posted.
my reply to hk2 was not meant to belittle the stochastics as an indicator. i was merely presenting what farley and murphy have asserted regarding the usefulness of indicators in different mkt conditions.
