Yes, ABBV has the legal right to add another drug to the ABT-493/ABT-530 next-generation regimen; however, from a practical standpoint, it wouldn’t be good for ABBV’s (very productive) partnership with ENTA if ABBV were to make such a decision unilaterally—unless ABBV were intending to drop ABT-493 altogether.
