Hmmm, maybe BB&T heard there may be a Senior for Junior swap (the talk of reconversion to preferred that BD disdains as some scam) after the stock dividend and they like the idea. This type of transaction does tend to help stock price, expecially when the company is smaller and the owners are perceived as increasing their holdings. Good way to reduce common O/S
