plain and simple. Nobody but Q knows how many subscribers there were, and how many cancelled because they did not like what they were buying. Your opinions of the show are pretty much irrelevant.
the FACT is that Q did NOT provide content and carriage of sufficient quality and quantity to support itself through advertising and subscribers. There is nobody to blame but Q ITSELF. (aside from the fact of pissing away money like it was M and M's.)
