Someone said that he kept his demeanor humble, and I agree. Which is a good thing now that he's becoming more under the microscope, well maybe a little on the radar. Less fodder for Chorty.
The Cox interview may have given us a hint that he was in the middle of negotiations. He was very happy Durata indirectly validated them. I took that in the sense of what they were asking for in a potential partnership.
My money is on Pfizer. They have been quiet while Roche and Merck are making acquisitions lately. After the failed takeover of AZN, you know Pfizer is not going to sit around and do nothing.
I've been wondering that myself. Maybe Leo's not worried about ticking off Merck because he's already made the "momentous" deal that assures our future through a strategic alliance with one of Merck's competitors. Hmmm...
