You are safe to choose Canada. I think we are about to become one country.

CD: In terms of deep integration, the C.D. Howe Institute has a series of papers on the subject, the Canadian Council of Chief Executives is lobbying for it and, now, former deputy prime minister John Manley is co-chairing an American-based Council on Foreign Relations task force on North American integration.

MB: This new committee on the future of North America is dangerous for several really important reasons. One is that John Manley is part of Canada’s ruling party, the heir apparent next time round. Moreover, Tom d’Aquino and Michael Wilson from big business are involved. They bring a shockingly one-sided perspective. Secondly, they are going to be reporting to the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations, not to the parliaments of the three countries, which tells us exactly who is running the show and what it’s all about.

Regarding Russia, we want Russia to reverse its authoritarianism course so that Moscow will cooperate with the agenda of the United States. Would you want the United States to cooperate with a foreign country’s program and not our own?

The report -- Russia’s Wrong Direction: What the United States Can and Should Do – expressed concern over the authoritarian policies of Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding that the "rollback of pluralism and centralization may not have run their course." It linked Russia’s reversion to authoritarianism with the downturn in the country’s bilateral relationship with the United States. "Cooperation is becoming the exception, not the norm," the report stated. "US-Russian relations are headed in the wrong direction." #msg-10633915

Search through the various means that we have used in the past to install pseudo democracies in the Ukraine, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan etc. are these not predominately the very means upon which Putin has stepped? Putin should not be delivering for Washington, he was elected to deliver for Russia.

Once it became evident that the Bakiev-Kulov team was not at Washington's beck and call, the US turned on Bakiev and began to try to destabilize his government.

Another case in point.

Morning Edition, April 5, 2005 • President Bush praises Ukraine's Orange Revolution as a model for democratic reforms around the world, but U.S. officials still are waiting to see what President Viktor Yushchenko can deliver. Yushchenko visits Chicago after meeting with President Bush Monday in Washington. He will address a joint meeting of Congress Wednesday.

China is scary, agreed. The big question is will China be content to remain overlord of Asia or will the Dragon’s claws reach for the entire world? Is a multi-polar world with balance preferable to a planet with one country as sole dominant power? Knowing that power corrupts how far into the abyss will that sole dominant power sink?

Idiots are running the show right now..and maybe idiots have always run the show..but I prefer certain idiots over others...knowing the world isn't as helpful as knowing one self first..agendas start early in the household...don't you agree??

I can’t argue with that. Agreed agendas start early in the household.

Looking outside of one‘s self helps one to learn of himself.
