That shouldn't be happening at all to private messages. You have to intentionally erase them.

Public messages, however, do clear out of your Inbox as soon as you read them. Subscribers have a "Keep" option to keep track of public messages (whether to them or not) on iHub but not on SI (yet).

Barry, I'd wager a guess that you have your Messages Per MailBox category set low, to like 10.

This is probably true for disco_queen and others.
