True Tommy T, the idea that we can make the world into our image is indeed cultural imperialism.
Hell, i worked all my life to avoid wearing a suit and tie :)
Hell, the world i grew up in that had thousands and thousands and thousands, tens of thousands of ma and pa grocery stores and drugstores and restaurants and many different looking, highly variable downtown mainstreets, that is the american culture i remember with love and respect.
Is mass homogenization progress??? Why???? gd

...there're people in the rest of the world who fear that americans will dominate the world thru popular culture...arent the rest of world eat at mickey d, watch hollywood movies, listen to american pop music, wear nike shoes, use american computers...

Are Americans "dominating", or is our culture being voluntarily demanded by insistant overseas consumers? There is a big difference between actively, or passively achieving a position of a world trade leader.
