On another subject (or maybe it's all part of the same subject since it sounds like the fed wants to do the same here), I've been thinking about that Fed suggestion to Japan to monetize the debt and make it go away. Wouldn't that make the yen virtually worthless and create hyperinflation? I would think that would be a worse scenario to live in than deflation.
