It's new to me, unless I missed it in a prior reading. I really like the elaboration on the condition and use. Brilacidin as a drop, that has to be why Leo went to India: Otic drops, Ocular drops, foot ulcer ointment, wow.

That verbiage was added to our website about the same time they announced Dr. Reddy's Laboratories for formulation of B for Ophthalmic and Otitis Infections.

I'll have to ask a doc this, but what I'm wondering is if Brilacidin as a defensin mimetic is a game changer for things like ear and eye drops for minor infections because it is a potential once-and-done application that, even if it doesn't kill 100% of the pathogen on its own, kills enough and reduces the infection enough that the body can take care of the remainder. Is that a legitimate medical outcome? And it won't leave behind any 'evolved' pathogen that can foster future resistance?
