Intel (INTC) looks like the biggest beneficiary here, as it’s expected to ship 5.1 million AP to China, a 104% increase from last quarter, nearly doubling its market share from 7.5% to 14.6%.
Though I wasn't convinced by Krzanich's work at the beginning (especially his lie about BayTrail being on shelves by christmas last year), he seems to be the right man for the job. Decisions like bringing Sofia first on foundries until Intel gets its issues resolved and bringing chinese design houses into the boat seem like just the right things to do. He seems to see the threats for Intel in the long term and he seems to be willing to win this at any price. His main goal is to hurt the foundries and ARM so they don't have the money to invest further and get too close to Intel. It's good to have an engineer back at the steering wheel. Otellini made some big mistakes by not taking care of mobile.
