A few months ago I had the same "NAME" problem cuz TA LIB didn't work on one of the computers I used. Once I reprogrammed all of the TA-LIB formulas the problem went away. Unfortunately trying to identify the exact formula that TA LIB used didn't always work. Close but no cigar.

Hi capt_jmj, about thet TA lib.

The TA lib is an excel add in as you all know. The only reason for ?name to appear is that the add in is not loaded.
Many things could make that happen, one of them is moving the add in from its folder or in general to modify the path to it. Some bad programming in other add is could unload it as well.

The procedure to restore it is rather simple:
Go to tools/add in

look for the TA lib and it should be unmarked, is that is the case check it. It should work now.

BUT If the add in is already checked, uncheck it. In this waS the case, porbably you will receive a warning message that the add in could not be found and ask you to delete the link, say yes, and then browse to the file and load it again.

would like to consider try program so that

1. rsi5 vto is in particularly effect for nasi>0, or price >50. but down to nasi-300 ok.

2. go long vto if nasi <-300 only if system in bull mode.

of the 20 yearly drawdowns tc posted, there were no yearly major drawdowns for vto noted with this combination of nasi>0 and price>50ma. 4 were with nasi >0, but <200, and only 1 with price < 50 ma.

we need to appraoch market differently with nasi below 0 and below -500, where it gets more bearish/trendish, the drawdowns are greater, but returns are also higher with reversals.
