Not really Michael, the poster of whom you are thinking and i made peace quite some time ago ... at least, i thought we had, not too sure now after last night
Main thing is, you're not going to attract new quality posters to a thread being used to spam the pinks/bb p&d du jour .... people are going to drop in, see some of that, and think ah, another ragingbull ... then click somewhere else ..... the whole point of the entrance lobby thread was to get something of a resources community started here, of course this was long before we knew management would capture SI as well .... maybe it's less important now, in light of that fact [on the other hand, SI is down just now, i got as far as dougmilk's link to his post here, no further, 'server error']
Personalities come into it in this way - it turns my gut to see my name at the top of a thread being used to prey on suckers .... so, now the pinks/bb productions have their own thread - #board-1731 .... and they will not be welcome on the entrance lobby, period ..... imho it's either that, or give up on the idea of attracting new posters to the place
