My criticism and contempt for blix has always been for his pretense that he could accomplish his supposed mission when in fact it was a total impossibility. Give him 500 people for 500 years and he would find nothing, but he would still collect his paycheck every month and come before the UN to tell them with great self inflated gravitas what a great job he was doing but there was more to be done.
He must share that blame with france, germany, russia, kofi, and all the others who out of their own financial self interest publicly agreed with him when the smallest shred of common sense would tell anyone that it could not be done.
Hypocrisy?? I think not - my statements on the subject have been consistent, whether discussing blix or the current US effort.
