A Continuing Resolution to fund the gov't comes up for a vote in Dec...will Repub feel emboldened and veto the CR and shut down the gov't, or have Repubs learned a lesson?

In VA we're still waiting to hear Repub Ed Gillespie concede the senate election to Dem Senator Mark Warner - it was a close race, closer than I thought it would be given Gillespie has never been involved in VA and was a lobbyist for ENRON, but hatred for the black man sitting in the white house overtook all reason and Repub voters took it out on Senator Warner.
I keep giving voters more credit than I should - I work the polls in my District and I can't tell you how many voters came in looking to vote for David Bratt, the guy who beat Eric Cantor in the Repub primary...Bratt does not represent this (my) District; these voters were clueless.

"Obama himself has to take some blame and his Republican opponents some credit for what happened yesterday."

wait,,, did StephanieVanbryce post that article?????

"The Republican candidates this year tied their opponents to Obama and to his policies, and the tactic worked."

Pubs didn't even have to say what they were for... uh oh

"Could Obama and the Democrats have avoided the voters’ wrath?"

can a leopard lose it's spots ... I don't thinks so...

"the electorate that flocked to the Republicans: older voters and white working-class voters"

has to be overwhelmed by a new wave of illegal immigrants who can show up and vote legal or not next time.....

The real problem is - That whole Fed QE and stimulus stuff never did trickle down to the hope and change crowd.. they got a bag to hold and a kick in the crotch... The rich got richer and the poor gained numbers by a lot. What has Obama done for YOU lately?
