I think the PR said what Leo could reveal and in terms leaving other possibilities open, wiggle room, so that bottom line results won't come back to bite him, should there be discrepancies. I think they do know all outcomes since the data for the trial was lacked almost a month ago. That means all data, including those taken at 28 days. But, all data must be fully vetted and in pharmacology what appears to be obvious conclusions turns out much more complicated once all details are examined.
To me the biggest hint that they don't expect any changes is the statement that they are planning for a single dose Phase 3. That tells me they achieved exactly what they needed to in all measures including at 28 days.
But, yes, especially the meaning of the 48-72 hour metric could have been more fully explained.
